 Hector Martiez, ex football player and founder of Bondi Football Academy.

Hector was first noticed when he was 15 years old as a possible striker by an agent, Senor Pesuti, while he was playing with the Rio Negro. Signed the contract with the Buenos Aires club River Plate, he went on in the development program of the club from the junior class to the first selection under the Brazilian coach Di Di (3 times world champion and team mate of Pele). At 17 he was moved to the first division of the Atlanta club. A year later he represented Argentina, helping them to win the Misiones Cup, scoring 5 goals against Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay. At 20, he moved to the Iron Carrill Oeaste, before being recruited by the coach of the Australian national Rale Rasic for the Pan Hellenic (now Sydney Olympic) in 1974. Later on, Hector represented Australia in the Pacific Cup, going up in Mexico against teams from USA, Japan, Canada and New Zealand. Before retiring in 1980 to play football indoor, he played for several clubs in the Australian National League (Australian National League). Recorded at the 5th level to FAA (Futbolistas Argentinos Agremiados), attainable only by international players, he can train anywhere in the world, at any level. In 1989 he founded the Bondi Football Academy in Sydney, Australia, with the aim of introducing children to the game of football.
